A retailer put the shirt on the shelf early. Photographs of the Nike Chelsea 2026/27 third kit were circulated on 25 July 2026 by @fft2106 and picked up by Footy Headlines, several weeks before Nike and the club are expected to launch it properly.

Early shop sightings are a different beast from a render or a mock-up. When a shirt reaches a shop floor, the design is finished and already moving through distribution. That makes this one about as reliable as pre-launch information gets, though Chelsea have not confirmed anything and the details below could still shift before the official photography lands.

Chelsea Third Kit Design Breakdown

Colourway. The base is white. Nike’s own naming for the kit is “White/Rush Blue/Global Red”, so the trim works in blue alongside a red accent. Reporting around the leak notes this is the first Chelsea third shirt in close to a decade to use pure white rather than off-white or beige, which makes it a notable change of direction.

The crest. This is the part supporters will argue about. The badge is a retro shield, very close to the logo Chelsea carried in the early 1990s, instead of the circular crest used on the current home and away shirts.
