This is not a leak in the usual sense. The shirt appeared in public on 25 October 2026, when Inter’s players arrived at San Siro wearing it ahead of the Fiorentina game. Footy Headlines covered the moment in its report on Inter’s Energy jersey.

The site calls it a retro jersey for the 2026-27 season and describes it as a direct homage to the club’s 1998-99 third shirt. Footy Headlines ties it to Nike’s wider 90s-inspired range for the club, the same range as the grey, black and yellow third kit Inter wear this season.

Collar and cuffs

The neckline is a crossover V-neck, finished in black. The cuffs on the long sleeves are black too, which ties them to the chest band.

Crest and branding

A yellow Nike Swoosh sits on the right of the chest. In the arrival photo, the current round Inter crest sits on the left.

The “sponsor” band

The defining feature is the broad black stripe across the chest. In 1998-99 that space carried the Pirelli logo. Here it reads INTER instead, in oversized letters that copy the famous Pirelli typeface, so the shirt calls back to that sponsor without carrying it. The photo also shows a thin white line running under the band.

Colourway

The base is a vivid blue, with black and yellow accents. That is a different direction from the Iron Grey, Black and Tour Yellow mix of this season’s third kit, even though Footy Headlines groups them in the same collection.

How It Compares

Put it next to the original 1998-99 third and the inspiration is obvious. Our own Inter Milan 1998/99 Third Retro Jersey shows the same recipe: blue body, dark chest band with the Pirelli wordmark, a white stripe beneath it and a yellow Swoosh.

There are two clear changes. The wordmark now reads INTER rather than Pirelli, and the retro shirt’s polo collar has become a crossover V-neck.
