The Leak

Chelsea fans now have a first look at the colours for next season’s travelling shirt. Footy Headlines published the details on 22 October 2026. It says the Nike Chelsea 2027-28 away shirt will be mainly off-white. Nike’s colour name is “Phantom”.

Two other shades are named. “Blackened Blue” is a very deep navy that sits close to black, and it is used for accents. “Mead Gold” is used for the trim and the logos.

The biggest change is the crest. The report says the away shirt will drop the round club badge. In its place sits the lion on its own, holding the staff, in gold.

Colourway

Phantom is the lead colour. Blackened Blue and Mead Gold are secondary. The report gives no split between the three shades. The diagonal band and the triangle in the image come from the colour graphic, so they are not confirmed design details.

Collar, cuff and sponsor details for the away shirt have not been reported yet.

Crest and logos

The gold lion alone, without the round badge around it, is the key detail. It matches the graphic, where the lion overlaps the dark band and the gold triangle. The Swoosh is gold too, which fits the report’s note that Mead Gold covers the logos.

Footy Headlines expects the away shirt to launch in July or August 2027. The full set of three kits is due between May and August 2027. No exact dates have been given, and neither Chelsea nor Nike has confirmed anything, so the timing could change.
