Leaked: Barcelona 27-28 Away Kit, Pure Lakers Tribute

TL;DR

• Nike is reported to be making Barcelona’s 2027-28 away kit a direct tribute to the Los Angeles Lakers, with a vivid yellow base and purple trim.
• Exact graphics and layout are unknown, and there is no confirmation yet from Barcelona or Nike. The shirt in our image is a mockup, not the real thing.
• Release is tipped for July or August 2027. 433FC does not stock the 27-28 away, but we do sell other Barcelona shirts.

The Leak

Barcelona’s 2027-28 away shirt is already a talking point. An exclusive from Footy Headlines, published on 20 October 2026, says the Nike 2027-28 away kit will be built around the colours of the Los Angeles Lakers.

The report ties the idea to Nike’s earlier basketball link-up with Kobe Bryant. Two modern Nike x Kobe “Mamba” kits have already appeared for the club, and this one is said to take that inspiration much further, moving from subtle tones to an unmistakable yellow and purple look.

About the picture above: the left half is a photo of Kobe Bryant in a Lakers number 24 jersey. The right half is a mockup made by Footy Headlines with a kit creator, showing a yellow shirt with purple crest, sponsor and collar tips. That right side is a fan-style concept, not the real shirt, and no photo of the final design has surfaced.

Colourway

The one firm detail is the palette: a vivid yellow main colour with purple trim and detailing. The report says both shades have appeared in Barça history, but never together. Bright yellow away shirts have been worn on some big European nights, while purple featured in 2016-17 and 2021-22.

Collar, crest and sponsor

None of these have been described. In the mockup the collar tips, crest and sponsor are purple, but that is the mockup maker’s choice. We do not know the collar style, the crest treatment or whether the sponsor will change colour. Treat every one of those as open until real images appear.

Graphics and layout

The report does not reveal the exact graphics or layout. So there is no confirmed pattern, no sleeve detail and no hint of whether Kobe-related marks will be on the shirt. Anything beyond yellow and purple is speculation.

The Lakers and Kobe Bryant are inspiration here, according to the report. Nothing in it describes any involvement from the NBA or the team itself.

How It Compares

The earlier Mamba shirts used basketball as a quiet influence. This one is said to go all in on the colours. Our Mamba Series Kobe Bryant joint edition away jersey shows the earlier approach, and the 2026/27 away jersey is the current season’s standard away option.

The rest of the 2027-28 range looks different. The 27-28 home kit leak and the 27-28 third kit leak cover the other shirts. A separate Footy Headlines report the same day says the third is black with dull golden-yellow logos on the Nike 2027 template, due in August 2027. It is also a leak. For the shared base design, see our Nike 27-28 template leak.

Fans who like black and gold can look at the Barcelona 2020/21 away retro jersey, which uses those colours, and the best 2027-28 leaked kits ranked shows where this one might land.

When Can You Buy It?

The reported window is July or August 2027. There is no exact date, no price and no confirmed retailer list, so any specific date you see online is a guess until Barcelona or Nike announce it.
