Footy Headlines reported the plan on 3 November 2026, working with Inside Müngersdorf. The story is that the club and Adidas want next season’s home shirt to celebrate two decades of REWE on the chest. The details are in the Footy Headlines report.

REWE first appeared on the shirt in 2007-08, two decades before 2027-28. That first season also ended with promotion back to the Bundesliga.

Since the new shirt is unseen, the useful thing to study is the 2007-08 original.

Body and shoulders. The old kit has a white torso with red shoulders and sleeves. A curved panel separates the two colours at the chest.

Stripes. Three white stripes run along the raglan seams to the cuffs. Nothing has been reported about how they will be handled on the new shirt.

Collar. The 2007-08 shirt has a white fold-over collar with a red insert at the neck. Whether that returns isn’t known.

Sponsor and crest. REWE runs across the chest in red, with the goat crest on the left. The report doesn’t describe the 27-28 sponsor treatment.

How It Compares

The biggest visible change should be the amount of red. This season’s home shirt is mostly white, with red kept to the trim on our product photo. A return to red shoulders and sleeves would give it a much stronger two-colour look from a distance.
