The report calls the palette unexpected. Black change kits have appeared many times in Celtic’s history, but black matched with an earthy brown would be a first for the club.

The image above is a mock-up built by Footy Headlines with FIFA Kit Creator to show the colours. Footy Headlines warns that the real shirt will not match the mock-up. An update dated 29 October adds a prediction by designer JMFK, which Footy Headlines calls highly speculative.

Colourway

The base is plain black. Blanch Brown is a soft earth shade, used where most kits would put a bright trim.

Crest

The club badge is set to appear in a single colour, the same Blanch Brown as the logos. A star sits above the crest, also in Blanch Brown.

Sponsor and logos

Dafabet stays on the front, printed in Blanch Brown according to the report. The Adidas performance logo and the three stripes on the shoulders use the same shade.

Collar and cuffs

No collar or cuff details have been reported. The mock-up cannot confirm them either.

How It Compares

The current third shirt is almost the opposite. The 2026-27 third, released in June 2026, is off-white with a fine pattern and dark green trim, a tribute to the Estádio Nacional in Lisbon, where Celtic won the European Cup in 1967. The 2027-28 version swaps cream for black and green for brown.

The away kit for the same season was reported the day before. It takes the off-white look from the recent thirds, which leaves the black shirt as the dark option in the 2027-28 set.

When Can You Buy It?

Footy Headlines says the third kit is due in late summer 2027. Neither Celtic nor Adidas has confirmed the design or a date.
