The Leak

Footy Headlines published its report on the shirt on 3 November 2026. It says Puma is expected to sign off at San Siro with a traditional home kit, leaving out gradients, unusual patterns and other graphic tricks.

Puma’s deal with Milan began in 2018, so 27-28 would be its tenth season. Footy Headlines reports that the club is set to return to Adidas from 2028-29. The full report and its images are in the Footy Headlines article.

Treat all of this as a pre-release report. The article uses the language of expectation throughout, and it does not say whether the picture above shows a finished shirt or a render. It is also a chest close-up, so it shows no sleeves, cuffs or shorts.

Stripes. This is the one design change the report spells out. Red and black verticals stay as the base, but notably thinner than this season’s.

Collar. The published picture shows a black V-neck that cuts into the central black stripe. The report text says nothing about the collar, so this detail could still change.

Crest and star. The picture has the round ACM 1899 crest on the left chest, with a gold star above it. No special anniversary crest is mentioned.

Branding and sponsor. A white Puma cat sits opposite the crest, and Emirates runs across the chest in white. In the picture the wordmark appears alone, without the Fly Better line found on our 26-27 product photo.

How It Compares

Last summer Puma went the other way. The 26-27 shirt brought back broad stripes that recalled Milan’s 1998-99 Scudetto kit, a look we covered in our 26-27 home kit report. Narrowing them would give the two final Puma home shirts clearly different proportions, even with the same colours.
