General in-store availability begins on 6 November 2026, according to Footy Headlines’ report on the debut. Before that, supporters could pre-order through the club’s online store, with dispatch planned for late October.

We could not find the date on a club page ourselves, so treat it as reported rather than confirmed by us, and check with the club shop before making a trip.

The kit was unveiled earlier in the autumn. Its release was covered on 16 October, and the team played in it at Manchester City a day later, in the Premier League.

The base is black. A Tudor-style drawing of Ipswich covers the body in tonal grey, so it stays subtle. In close-up photos, part of the word “Cornhill” is visible among the streets and buildings.

The usual club badge is gone. In its place is a standalone Suffolk Punch horse, embroidered in gold, with a football under one raised hoof. The Umbro logo and the HALO sponsor wordmark are gold as well. Two smaller details are an Ed Sheeran “Play” logo on the sleeve and a Call Me Ted graphic inside the collar. Black shorts and black socks with gold detailing finish the kit.

Who Is Call Me Ted, and Where Does the Money Go?

Call Me Ted is an art collective run by local fans, and it worked on the design with Umbro. The kit builds on an earlier limited-edition warm-up design, which sold at auction and raised more than £15,000 for the Ipswich Town Foundation, according to Footy Headlines.

The third kit carries that on. £1 from every shirt sold goes to the foundation, specifically its Beyond Labels programme, according to Footy Headlines.

How Does It Compare With Last Season’s Third?

Both shirts are mostly black and both use the Suffolk Punch instead of the full badge, so the two look related at a distance. Up close they are quite different. Last season’s third had broken grey stripes, grey sleeves and light blue trim. This one is tonal, with gold as the only accent.

It also sits well apart from the rest of this season’s set. The 26-27 home shirt is blue with a subtle pattern taken from the Sir Bobby Robson and Sir Alf Ramsey stands.
