Best Primeira Liga 26/27 Kits, Ranked
The best Primeira Liga 2026/27 kit is Sporting CP’s gold away shirt by Nike, released 24 July 2026. It recreates the 2004 Nike Total 90 template in metallic gold and black, complete with the asymmetric seam piping and a Total 90 logo inside the collar, and carries Sporting’s new 120th-anniversary crest.
The best Primeira Liga kit of 2026/27 is Sporting CP’s gold away shirt by Nike — a full recreation of the 2004 Total 90 template, and the boldest thing any Portuguese club has worn in years. It is a strong summer across the board: Sporting unveiled a brand-new crest for their 120th anniversary, Porto revived their 1980s block typography, Benfica dropped black from their designs entirely, and Estoril began a Reebok era with a three-kit trilogy. Below we rank the twelve best. Browse them all in our Primeira Liga collection.
How we ranked the 2026/27 Primeira Liga kits
This ranking covers kits officially released or unveiled as of 27 July 2026, ahead of the 2026/27 Liga Portugal season. We weighted three things: how faithfully a shirt carries the club’s visual identity, the quality of the design execution, and wearability for fans. Leaked-but-unreleased shirts — including Benfica’s third kit, which Footy Headlines has said is still speculative — are excluded. So are kits that exist but that no source describes.
The 12 best Primeira Liga 2026/27 kits, ranked
1. Sporting CP — Away (Nike)
Released 24 July 2026, this is the kit of the Portuguese summer. Nike rebuilt the legendary 2004 Total 90 template in metallic gold with black accents on the collar, cuffs, Swoosh and sponsor, including the asymmetric black seam piping across the front, shoulders and lower back, and the Total 90 logo inside the V-neck. Betano sits on the front, Super Bock on the upper back beside a 120 anniversary mark, and the crest is monochrome black and gold. Shop the Sporting CP collection.
2. Sporting CP — Home (Nike)
Presented at 19:06 on 13 July 2026, Sporting’s home shirt is the vehicle for a genuine rebrand. The green-and-white hoops return in a darker green than 25/26 with black shorts, but the story is the new club crest: a retro redesign drawing on the emblem Sporting used from 1945 to 2001, replacing the 2001 badge, with gold detailing for 120 years. A gold anniversary tag sits on the lower right hem and 120 sits under the back collar. Browse the Sporting CP range.
3. FC Porto — Home (New Balance)
Out on 18 May 2026 — and worn in a match before its own digital unveiling — Porto’s home shirt keeps the traditional blue-and-white vertical stripes with a simple V-neck and solid blue sleeve accents. The detail that lifts it is the typography: a bold red 3D block font with inset highlight lines on names and numbers, lifted straight from Porto’s 1980s shirts. Super Bock on the chest, blue shorts and socks. Find it in the FC Porto collection.
4. SL Benfica — Away (Adidas)
Unveiled 3 July 2026 and on sale the next day, Benfica’s away is a white base heavily accented with red and built around a red poppy floral graphic — a reference to the papoilas saltitantes of the club anthem. A red polo collar, red cuffs and red Three Stripes frame it, with the classic Adidas Trefoil on the right chest. Worth knowing before you buy: some reviewers found the print reads darker in person than in the promo shots. Shop the Benfica collection.
5. Estoril Praia — Home (Reebok)
Revealed 20 July 2026 as Estoril by day, this is the first kit of the club’s Reebok era and the most technically interesting shirt in the league. It is predominantly yellow with royal blue and white accents, cut from a shiny fabric engineered to reflect light so the yellow shifts tone with the sun. Blue trim and thin white lines stand for the sea and the Atlantic breeze, and Ouro Sobre Azul runs across a blue panel on the back. See the Estoril Praia collection.
6. Vitoria SC (Guimaraes) — Away (Hummel)
Presented on 8 July 2026 at Praca 26 de Maio under the motto O Futuro e Preto e Branco, Vitoria’s away marks the start of a Hummel deal after eight years with Macron. It is black, with an image of D. Afonso Henriques — Portugal’s first king, whose statue stands in Guimaraes — rendered in relief across the full front panel, and Vitoria SC 1922 applied on the upper back. Browse the Vitoria de Guimaraes collection.
7. FC Porto — Away (New Balance)
Released 3 June 2026, Porto’s away takes a deep ruby base with a tonal vertical stripe pattern down the front panel, finished with a traditional polo collar, a single-button placket and white front branding. The reference is the Douro and the Port wine that made the city’s name, and the ruby tone is specific enough that it reads as a place rather than a colour choice. Shop the FC Porto range.
8. SL Benfica — Home (Adidas)
Benfica’s June 2026 home shirt is red and white only. That is a rule, not a preference: from 2026/27 the club has removed black accents from its designs. White trim runs on the collar, cuffs and the Three Stripes, which sit noticeably wider on Adidas’s current template, and an all-over graphic of tonal shapes and lines drawn from the architecture of the Benfica Campus covers the front. Emirates in white, plus an all-new bespoke club font. Browse the Benfica range.
9. FC Porto — Third (New Balance)
The 9 June 2026 third shirt is the prettiest of Porto’s four. A sky-blue base is trimmed with royal blue, most distinctively at an overlapping V-neck collar carrying a thin white central line that is repeated on the cuffs, with matching sky-blue shorts and socks. New Balance pitched it as contemporary styling built on the club’s founding colours, and it is the rare third kit that could pass as a first-choice shirt. Find it in the FC Porto collection.
10. Vitoria SC (Guimaraes) — Home (Hummel)
The other half of Vitoria’s 8 July launch is a white shirt with black detailing, and it is quietly one of the most disciplined designs of the summer. Two sublimated black diagonal lines echo the stripe on the club crest, joined by embossed relief lines drawn to exactly the thickness of the spaces inside the emblem. Vitoria SC 1922 again sits on the upper back. Shop the Vitoria SC collection.
11. Estoril Praia — Away (Reebok)
Revealed 22 July 2026 as Marginal por Natureza, Estoril’s away builds a palette out of a road. Blue-green, grey and white tones with black details on the collar and sleeves reference the EN6 Marginal coast road into Lisbon: asphalt grey against Atlantic blue-green and the white of wave foam. It debuted alongside the home shirt against SCU Torreense on 25 July. Browse the Estoril Praia range.
12. SC Braga — Home (Puma)
Released 29 June 2026, Braga’s home shirt is the most traditional entry on this list and earns its place for exactly that reason. A solid red body is contrasted by clean white sleeves, with a simple red V-neck collar and matching red bands at the cuffs. No graphic, no story, no gimmick — just the club’s look executed properly, which in a summer this busy counts for something. Find it in the SC Braga collection.

Why does Sporting CP have a new crest for 2026/27?
Sporting unveiled a redesigned crest on their 2026/27 home kit to mark the club’s 120th anniversary. The new badge draws on the emblem Sporting used from 1945 to 2001, replacing the 2001 version, and the shirt carries gold anniversary detailing plus the number 120 under the back collar.
Why is there no black on the Benfica 2026/27 home kit?
Benfica introduced a new internal kit policy for 2026/27 that removes black accents from future designs. The Adidas home shirt is therefore red and white only, with white trim on the collar, cuffs and Three Stripes and an all-over graphic inspired by the architecture of the Benfica Campus.
Has FC Alverca released a 2026/27 kit?
No. As of 27 July 2026, FC Alverca has not revealed a 2026/27 kit. The club’s own store still lists only its 2025/26 shirts, so Alverca is not included in this ranking. FC Famalicao’s 2026/27 Puma kits have been presented, but no source describes the designs, so they are also excluded.
