Leaked: Chivas 26-27 Third Kit — Black and Gold Nike Shirt

TL;DR

• Footy Headlines revealed Chivas’ 2026-27 third shirt on 5 October 2026. It’s the club’s first third kit since moving from Puma to Nike.
• The shirt is black with gold and silver details. A wide, ornate band crosses the chest and frames the first Chivas crest inside a diamond.
• Release is expected late in 2026 or in early January 2027, ahead of the Clausura. The Nike away shirt is the newest Chivas kit you can buy today.

Guadalajara swapped Puma for Nike at the start of this season, and the home and away shirts have already set the tone for the new partnership. The third kit is the piece supporters have been waiting on, and Footy Headlines showed it for the first time on the evening of 5 October, with several images of the design.

Neither the club nor Nike has launched the shirt yet, so treat everything below as a leak. Images like these usually get the colours and layout right, but trims, fonts and sponsor placement can still shift before the shirt reaches the shops.

Design Breakdown

Colourway. Black is the base. Gold and silver are the only accents, and the silver is used for the logos and sponsors. It’s a darker, dressier look than anything Chivas wore in the Puma years, closer to a formal shirt than a training-ground alternative.

Chest band. The headline feature is a broad horizontal band across the chest, filled with an ornate pattern. It splits the shirt in two and gives the front a clear focal point.

Crest. Instead of the modern badge, the shirt uses the club’s first crest. It sits in the middle of the chest band, inside a diamond-shaped frame, rather than over the heart.

Collar and cuffs. A polo collar finishes the neckline, with small gold inserts on the collar points. Each cuff carries a golden pattern that wraps around the sleeve.

Sponsors. The leak confirms the sponsor logos are applied in silver. It doesn’t list every partner, so we haven’t named them.

How It Compares

Recent Chivas third shirts under Puma leaned on the blue of the club’s history or with anniversary graphics. A black-and-gold shirt with a heritage crest is a different idea: it leans on prestige rather than nostalgia. The first-crest choice also echoes the club’s 120th anniversary year, which brought several commemorative shirts.

Against Nike’s own first season, the home and white away keep things simple. The third is where the brand has been allowed to dress the shirt up, which follows a familiar pattern in Liga MX, where third kits are often the most decorative of the set.

When Can You Buy It?

FAQ

Is this the real Chivas 2026-27 third kit?

It’s a leak, not a club release. Footy Headlines published images of the design, but neither Chivas nor Nike has unveiled it, so small details could still change.

When does the Chivas 26-27 third kit release?

Late 2026 or early January 2027 is the expected window, in line with the Liga MX habit of launching third kits before the Clausura. No date has been announced.

Where can I buy Chivas jerseys?

433FC stocks the Nike 2026/27 Chivas away shirt in fan and player versions, plus retro Chivas shirts from the 1990s and 2000s. The black third isn’t on sale anywhere yet.
