This is the second piece of Roma’s centenary range to get its own colours. In September, Footy Headlines first reported that all three 2027-28 Roma kits would be built around the clubs that came together on 7 June 1927, as we covered in our founding clubs leak post. The white third kit was later linked to Alba-Audace. Now the away shirt has been tied to Fortitudo-Pro Roma.

Design Breakdown

Base colour. The leak puts navy at the centre. Roma’s away shirts are often white or cream; this season’s is a retro ecru, which we covered in our 2026-27 away leak. A dark blue change kit is still unusual for the Giallorossi.

Graphics and accents. According to the report, a tone-on-tone pattern sits on the navy body and bright red is used for the details. That pairing comes straight from Fortitudo’s badge, which had red and blue vertical stripes. Footy Headlines hasn’t said whether the graphic recreates those stripes or uses a more abstract shape.

Collar, crest and sponsor. None of these were covered. We don’t know the collar style or the cuff trim, and we don’t know whether the centenary crest seen in earlier reports will be used. The front-of-shirt sponsor for 2027-28 isn’t confirmed either, so treat any mock-up showing one as a guess.

How It Compares

Navy has turned up at Roma before, just not often. The last navy kit was the 2024-25 third, and before that there were navy shirts in 2021-22, 2019-20 and 2005-06. Footy Headlines makes a nice point here: those four kits came from four different suppliers (adidas, New Balance, Nike and Diadora). If the leak is right, this would be Roma’s second navy shirt with adidas, and the first one built around a piece of club history.

Next to the current 2026-27 away, the mood is very different. The ecru shirt looks back to Roma’s early days through vintage tones. The 2027-28 version tells a similar story with a darker, more modern palette.

Summer 2027 is the expected launch window, in line with the rest of the centenary range. No date has been given, and the 2027-28 shirt isn’t on sale anywhere yet.
