Mason Greenwood Fenerbahce Shirt Number 2026-27: He Wears No. 11
Mason Greenwood wears No. 11 at Fenerbahce in the 2026-27 season. The club shop, Fenerium, put the printed shirt on sale on 15 July 2026, a day after the transfer from Marseille was confirmed. It is the number he wore at Manchester United; at Marseille he was No. 10.

TL;DR
- Mason Greenwood wears No. 11 at Fenerbahce. The club put his name and number on sale through Fenerium on 15 July 2026, a day after confirming the transfer from Marseille.
- It is the number he had at Manchester United from September 2020. At Marseille he wore No. 10.
- Edson Alvarez was listed as Fenerbahce’s No. 11 in 2025-26. Fellow summer signings Nathan Ake and Vedat Muriqi took No. 15 and No. 19.
What number does Mason Greenwood wear at Fenerbahce?
Greenwood wears No. 11 for Fenerbahce in the 2026-27 season. The number was settled quickly: Fenerbahce confirmed the signing on 14 July 2026, and by the next morning the club’s retail arm, Fenerium, was selling match shirts printed with “Greenwood 11” in its stores and online, as reported by Daily Sabah. Turkish outlet Fanatik carried the same three numbers the same day.
So there was no waiting game here. Unlike many high-profile moves, where the number stays open until the player is registered, Fenerbahce had the shirt in shop windows before Greenwood had finished his paperwork in Istanbul.
Why No. 11 makes sense for him
Eleven is the number Greenwood is most associated with. Manchester United handed it to him on 4 September 2020, after his breakthrough season in No. 26, and he kept it until he left Old Trafford. For most England-based supporters, “Greenwood 11” is the print they already picture.
At Marseille it was different. The club gave him No. 10 when he signed in July 2024, and he wore it for two seasons in Ligue 1, finishing joint top scorer with 21 league goals in 2024-25 and adding 16 more in 2025-26, according to his career record. Returning to 11 in Turkey is a small reset: a familiar number at a new club, rather than carrying the Marseille No. 10 with him.
It also helps that the number was free. The 2025-26 Fenerbahce squad listed Edson Alvarez as No. 11, so the shirt changed hands this summer rather than being taken from a long-serving forward.
The three new numbers at a glance
Fenerbahce announced the three headline signings’ numbers together, which tells you how the club planned the launch. All three shirts went on sale at once.
| Player | Fenerbahce number | Previous club | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mason Greenwood | 11 | Marseille | Wore 11 at Man Utd, 10 at Marseille |
| Nathan Ake | 15 | Manchester City | Over six seasons in England before the move |
| Vedat Muriqi | 19 | Mallorca | Second spell at Fenerbahce |
The transfer in brief
Fenerbahce did not publish the fee, but reporting across Turkish and international outlets puts it at about €39 million, paid in three equal instalments, with bonuses that could lift the total above €42 million. The club also agreed to cover FIFA solidarity payments. Greenwood signed a four-year contract running to 30 June 2030. Manchester United retained a sell-on clause from his 2024 sale to Marseille, so a share of the fee heads back to Old Trafford. Treat the exact figures as reported, not confirmed, since the club has not released them.
The deal is widely described as a club record for Fenerbahce. On the club’s own site the welcome was brief: a wish for “many victories and championships in the yellow and navy blue jersey”.
Which Fenerbahce shirt should you print “Greenwood 11” on?
If you want the match-day look, the Fenerbahce 2026/27 home jersey in the traditional yellow and navy stripes is the obvious choice, and it is the shirt Fenerium used for the launch photos. The 2026/27 away jersey and 2026/27 third jersey are the alternatives if you prefer a darker or lighter shirt for everyday wear. We covered the away design when it first surfaced in our Fenerbahce 26-27 away kit leak post.
All our Fenerbahce shirts can be personalised with a name and number at checkout. Use “GREENWOOD” and “11” exactly as the club prints them. The full range, including retro shirts from the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons, is in our Fenerbahce category.
One caution for collectors: the 2027-28 designs have already started to leak, and we wrote them up in Fenerbahce 27-28 kits leaked. If you are buying a Greenwood shirt as a keepsake of his first season, the 2026-27 home is the one to get, because it is the shirt he debuted in.
Could the number change?
It is unlikely during this season. Turkish clubs register numbers with the federation for the campaign, and Greenwood’s shirt is already a retail product. A change would normally only come in the summer, if at all. If the club announces anything different, we will update this page and date the note.
For other new signings’ numbers this season, see our Benjamin Sesko Manchester United shirt number page and the Rodri Barcelona shirt number page, where the number was only settled after registration.
