adidas F50 Messi “Fútbol y Familia” Boots Released
adidas released the F50 Messi 26-27 “Fútbol y Familia” signature boots on 10 October 2026. The Lucid Red, Core Black and Pure Ruby colourway honours Messi’s Newell’s Old Boys roots and the 2000s F50 TUNIT, with a lace cover and family names inside the collar. Retailers list the Elite FG at about €280.
adidas has released the F50 Messi 26-27 “Fútbol y Familia” signature boots, a red, black and white colourway that reaches back to Lionel Messi’s Newell’s Old Boys years and to the F50 TUNIT era of the mid-2000s. The pair went on sale on 10 October 2026 through adidas and selected retailers, and Messi has already worn them in an Inter Miami match.

What is the adidas F50 Messi “Fútbol y Familia”?
It is Messi’s main club boot for the 2026-27 season and the latest chapter in adidas’s run of signature F50 releases that each mark a stage of his career. The name translates as “Football and Family”. According to Footy Headlines, the boot was unveiled on 10 October 2026 and is available now, with the colourway listed as Lucid Red, Core Black and Pure Ruby.
The story behind it is simple. Red and black are the colours of Newell’s Old Boys, the Rosario club where Messi played as a boy before moving to Barcelona, and the boot is presented as a tribute to his roots and the people around him rather than to a trophy or a record. Earlier 2026 releases covered his World Cup boots, so this is the first of the new club season.
What does the boot look like up close?
The upper is a glossy red with the Three Stripes in black, each stripe outlined in white, sweeping from the midfoot towards the heel. A lace cover folds over the instep and carries Messi’s signature logo, a feature lifted straight from the F50.6 TUNIT that he wore in the late 2000s. The soleplate is translucent with a pale tint, and the studs follow the standard F50 firm-ground pattern.
The personal touch sits on the inside. Footy Headlines reports that the inner collar is inscribed with the names and dates of family members, including his wife Antonela and his son Ciro. That detail is not visible on the pitch, which fits the “family” half of the name.

Has Messi worn the boots in a match yet?
Yes. Footy Headlines reported on 11 October that Messi debuted the pair in a competitive Inter Miami fixture after first training in an unreleased version. The report does not name the opponent, so we are not going to guess. Expect to see them for the rest of the MLS season and in Argentina colours when the national team next plays. If you want the shirt that goes with the boots, our Inter Miami 2026-27 kits guide covers the home and away options, and we confirmed which number he wears this season.
How much does it cost and who is it for?
Retailer listings put the Elite firm-ground version at €279.95 in Europe and about $280 in the United States. We have not seen an adidas product page with a price yet, so treat those figures as retailer-reported. At that level the boot is a top-tier speed model with the current F50 build: a thin synthetic upper, a stiff carbon-infused plate and bladed studs, the same package we tested in our adidas F50 2026 review.
Signature Messi editions usually arrive first in the Elite version and then filter down to League and Club tiers and to junior sizes over the following weeks. Nothing has been confirmed for the lower tiers of this colourway, so we will update this page if adidas adds them.
Where can you buy a Messi F50 at a lower price?
If you want the Messi look without the Elite price, 433FC stocks a range of F50 Messi replica boots, sold as replicas and not as adidas retail products. Current options in the adidas F50 section include the F50 Messi firm-ground boots, the F50 Messi turf boots for artificial pitches, the Messi F50 in white and red and the junior indoor version for kids. We do not yet have the “Fútbol y Familia” colourway itself; it usually takes a few weeks after an adidas launch for new colourways to reach us, and we list them as soon as they do.

Why does this release matter?
Messi signature boots sell out quickly, and the ones tied to a personal story tend to hold their value best. The red and black palette also stands apart from the pink, blue and gold colourways adidas has used for him over the past two years, which makes this pair easy to spot in highlights. For collectors it closes a loop: the TUNIT-style lace cover first appeared on his boots in 2007, and this is the first time adidas has paired it with his boyhood club’s colours.
We will add the colourway to our best football boots of 2026 list once we have handled a pair.
