Best 2026/27 Home Kits, Ranked: Top 10

Mens Paris Saint-Germain 2026/27 Home Jersey
Quick Answer
Our pick for the best 2026/27 home kit is PSG’s Nike shirt, with its wider Hechter stripe and centred badges. Juventus (adidas, 1976-77 homage in gold) and Aston Villa (all-claret with a turn-down collar) follow, ahead of Newcastle, Porto, Liverpool, Milan, Betis, Chelsea and Arsenal. All ten are on sale now.

Home shirts are the ones most supporters actually buy, yet our rankings so far have covered thirds, aways and the 2027/28 leaks. This list puts the first-choice shirts of 2026/27 head to head: ten home kits from six leagues, judged on design, heritage and how they look on the pitch, with the full line-up in a comparison table and honest notes on which versions we stock.

How did we rank the 2026/27 home kits?

Three things matter here. First, the design itself: colour, stripe proportion, collar and trim. Second, the story behind it, because a nod to a club’s own past tends to age better than a template graphic. Third, the pitch test: a shirt that reads cleanly from the stands beats one that only works in studio photography. Every kit below is on sale and has been worn in competitive matches this season. Price plays no part in the order, and the ranking is our editorial view, not a sales chart.

Which are the ten best home kits of 2026/27?

1. Paris Saint-Germain (Nike)

Nike put PSG’s shirt on sale on 9 May 2026 and it has set the standard since. The Hechter stripe, the red central band on an Old Royal blue base, returns noticeably wider than in recent seasons, with the crest, Swoosh and sponsor lined up inside it for a symmetrical front. White and a flash of red provide the trim, and the inside collar reads “Fiers de nos couleurs”. It is the most confident home shirt of the year. Shop the PSG 2026/27 home shirt.

2. Juventus (adidas)

adidas reached back to the 1976-77 side that won the UEFA Cup. Five black bars sit on a white base with no fades or hidden patterns, a folded retro collar replaces the crew neck, and the badge, Three Stripes and Jeep wordmark are all rendered in gold. Replica long sleeves returned for the first time in twelve seasons. Restraint rarely looks this good. Juventus 2026/27 home shirt.

3. Aston Villa (adidas)

Villa drop the sky-blue sleeves of 2025/26 for an all-claret body with a classic turn-down collar inspired by the club’s late-1960s shirts. The crest and adidas branding appear in a pale, washed-out sky blue, a softer treatment than recent seasons, and sky blue is otherwise limited to the collar and cuffs. On the pitch it is unmistakably Villa and far more elegant than the colour-blocked shirts that preceded it. Aston Villa 2026/27 home shirt.

4. Newcastle United (adidas)

On sale from 10 June 2026, the Magpies’ shirt reworks the black-and-white stripes into a “barcode” effect, with the stripe widths varying across the front. adidas described it as inspired by fan energy, and the “barcode army” nickname makes the concept land. Blue returns on the shoulder stripes, collar and cuffs, paired with black shorts and socks. The most distinctive Newcastle home shirt in years. Newcastle 2026/27 home shirt.

5. FC Porto (New Balance)

Released on 18 May 2026 and debuted on the pitch rather than online, Porto’s second New Balance home shirt is the widest-striped Dragões jersey in more than a decade. Evenly spaced blue and white verticals, a plain V-neck, solid blue cuffs and a bold red 3D block font for names and numbers recall the club’s 1980s era. Super Bock stays on the front. FC Porto 2026/27 home shirt.

6. Liverpool (adidas)

The most debated shirt on this list. adidas moved Liverpool to a deep “Active Maroon” rather than the usual bright red, with white crest, sponsor and branding, and a tonal graphic drawn from the 1989-91 “Candy” home kit. Maroon shorts and socks complete it. Traditionalists were split, but as a design object it is cohesive and the Candy reference is well handled. Liverpool 2026/27 home shirt.

7. AC Milan (Puma)

Puma brings back wide red and black vertical stripes for the first time in three seasons, closer in proportion to the 1998-99 shirt than the thin pinstripes of 2023-25. The collar and cuffs are solid black with a single red line threaded through the middle, and the Puma cat and sponsor sit in white for contrast. A proper rossonero reset. AC Milan 2026/27 home shirt.

8. Real Betis (Hummel)

Debuted in the final weekend of 2025/26 against Levante, the verdiblanco shirt narrows the green and white stripes for a sharper silhouette and weaves interlocking diagonal lines into the fabric. Black-and-white chevron taping around the neck signals the Hummel partnership, and the inner neck carries “Somos Balompié”. White shorts and green socks finish the set. Real Betis 2026/27 home shirt.

9. Chelsea (Nike)

Chelsea’s bright blue base gains gold-yellow accents and a vintage-style lion crest, the first prominent yellow on a Chelsea home shirt since the mid-1990s. The pairing is bold without being busy, and the standalone crest gives the front a cleaner look than the shield of recent years. It would rank higher if the shade of blue were a touch deeper. Chelsea 2026/27 home shirt.

10. Arsenal (adidas)

Red body, white sleeves and gold trim that references the 2003-04 Invincibles season. It is a safe shirt, but Arsenal’s home design has rarely needed reinvention and adidas has executed the classic combination cleanly. The gold details lift it just enough to make the ten. Which home kits just missed out?

Bournemouth’s Hummel shirt, released on 12 July 2026, deserves a mention for its wider red and black stripes and a tonal pattern based on the 1936 crest. Rangers’ Umbro shirt, with white pinstripes and red-and-white V-neck piping, is a strong traditional effort. Inter’s zig-zag blue stripes with gold branding and Barcelona’s Nike shirt, worn with garnet shorts on debut against Birmingham City, were both close. We also left out clubs whose 2026/27 shirts we do not stock, so this is a ranking of kits you can actually order from us.
