A “vintage” or “original” shirt is a physical garment actually made in the season it represents — these are collector’s items, often decades old, and 433FC does not sell them. A “retro” or “classic” shirt on 433FC is a newly-manufactured remake of a historic design, made to order in current sizing. A “remake” is the same thing — a new shirt cut from an old pattern. Being clear on this matters: we never describe our retro shirts as official, licensed, authentic or original — they are replica remakes of classic designs, priced and sized for everyday wear rather than as collector pieces.

How do retro shirt sizes compare to modern fits?

Football shirts from the 1970s-1990s were cut with a boxier, looser fit than today’s athletic-cut jerseys, so a remake based on an old pattern can wear larger than a modern shirt in the same labelled size.
