Liverpool’s 2026-27 away kit is out, and it went straight into a match

Liverpool unveiled the 2026-27 away shirt on 29 July 2026 and wore it the same day, in the pre-season friendly against Wrexham, as Footy Headlines reported. Most supporters therefore saw it first as match imagery rather than as studio shots.

The shirt is on sale now through the official LFC online store, the LFC Store app and club stores, with worldwide shipping via UPS. Liverpool’s launch announcement does not publish a headline price, though season ticket holders and All Red members at Full, Light and Junior tiers get 10% off, and UK delivery is free over £85. What does the Liverpool 2026-27 away kit look like?

The base is white and the accent is a deep maroon-red. It is a more vintage pairing than a straight white-and-red away shirt would be, which fits what the club says it was going for.

The branding is the headline. Adidas have applied the Trefoil, the Originals-era mark, instead of the three-bar Performance logo that appears on almost every modern first-team shirt. Adidas uses the Trefoil on first-team kits only occasionally, and usually on archive-referencing designs, which is what this is.

Across the front sits a shield-style crest print drawn from 1970s Anfield match tickets. According to the club it is engineered into the weave rather than printed on top, using archive graphics lifted from those old tickets. Collar and cuffs carry white, red and grey stripe detailing. Standard Chartered remains the front sponsor. Red shorts and white socks complete the kit, both carrying matching trim and Adidas marks.

How accurate were the Liverpool away kit leaks?

Kit insider @opaleak published apparent official images on 15 July 2026, after a first look on 7 July. Against the finished release, the core of that reporting held: white base, maroon-red branding, the Trefoil, the ticket-derived shield print and the striped collar and cuffs were all called correctly a fortnight early.

Three things shifted. The reported release date was Tuesday 28 July; the unveiling landed on the 29th, paired with the Wrexham friendly. The leaked hooped socks did not survive, with the club describing plain white socks with co-ordinated detailing. And the leaks framed the shirt around the 1970s ticket graphic, while the club puts the mid-1980s away kits first and treats the ticket pattern as a layer inside that.
