Bayern Munich’s 2026/27 home shirt is made by adidas, under a deal signed in 2015 that runs to 2030 — a relationship unusual enough that adidas also holds a minority equity stake in FC Bayern. The shirt was released on 4 May 2026 and made its match debut two days later against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-final second leg.
It is a traditional red base carrying darker tonal vertical pinstripes across the body, with gold detailing on the collar and sleeve cuffs — the first gold accents on a Bayern home shirt since 2011-13. The adidas logo, club crest and Deutsche Telekom wordmark are all rendered in white rather than gold, and the crest carries five gold stars. The detail most likely to catch a collector’s eye is on the back: the lettering has changed to read “FC BAYERN” only, dropping “München” for 2026/27.
On fabric, the naming changed across all of adidas football in November 2025. HEAT.RDY and AEROREADY, which ran from 2020, were retired; the authentic player-issue tier is now Climacool+ and the replica tier Climacool. Climacool+ is an engineered weave with strategic ventilation zones and ventilation-optimised material at the collar and cuffs. The change buyers notice most is structural: the Three Stripes are now woven directly into the fabric rather than applied as overlays on top, which removes a friction point across the shoulder.

What the five stars mean
The five gold stars above Bayern’s crest are not Bundesliga titles one for one. Under the German system stars are awarded on a sliding scale of championships, and five is the maximum tier available — Bayern reached it long before the 35th title they sealed in April 2026. So the star count on the 2026/27 shirt is the same as it was last season, and it will stay the same next season too.
