Picking New York for a baseball-inspired launch is not subtle, and it is not meant to be. In Inter’s own words, the kit is inspired by baseball’s enduring visual identity, reimagined through the lens of one of football’s most iconic clubs — a description the venue backs up as much as the shirt does.

Design Breakdown

The base is white, cut through with blue pinstripes running vertically down the body. Pinstripes are hardly new territory for a club whose identity is built on stripes, but the reference point here is a baseball uniform rather than a football shirt, and that changes how the whole shirt reads.

The collar does a lot of the work. Inter went with a contrast collar, one of the most distinctive features of a classic baseball jersey, and tucked the words “Inter Milano” inside it — a detail only the wearer sees, which is usually the sign of a design team enjoying itself.

The real talking point is the crest. Inter have reimagined the badge as a monogram: the “I” and “M” break free of the traditional circular crest and take centre stage, rendered as a twill appliqué at enlarged scale. The club says it is the first time the crest has been treated this way on an official match kit. Whether you read it as confident brand work or a step too far from the badge probably depends on how long you have supported the club.

The rest of the kit follows the same logic: white shorts with a navy alternative, and navy socks.
