Lille 26-27 Kits Released: Hazard-Era Red and 1990s Crest Away
Lille released both their 2026-27 home and away kits on 3 August 2026. New Balance built the red home shirt around navy and white chevrons and a tonal fleur-de-lis print, echoing the 2011-12 season. The white away shirt revives the club crest used between 1989 and 1997.
LOSC Lille and New Balance launched both 2026-27 kits on the same day, 3 August 2026, closing out one of the quieter kit cycles in Ligue 1 with two shirts that lean hard on the club’s own archive. The home shirt looks back to 2011-12. The away shirt goes further, reviving a crest Lille retired in 1997.
What did Lille release on 3 August 2026?
Lille released their 2026-27 home and away shirts together on 3 August 2026, both made by New Balance. The home kit is red with navy and white chevrons across the chest and sleeves. The away kit is white with a blue fold-over collar, a red brick graphic and the club crest used between 1989 and 1997.
What does the Lille 26-27 home kit look like?
The home shirt keeps the familiar red base and adds navy and white chevron-shaped bands running across the upper chest and out along the sleeves. A white crew neck is finished with navy detailing, and the same navy and white trim is applied to the sleeve cuffs.
Look closer and the shirt carries a tonal fleur-de-lis pattern across the body, a nod to the emblem of the city of Lille itself. A single white fleur-de-lis sits beneath the rear collar. The construction is 90% recycled polyester and 10% elastane, with New Balance’s NB DRY moisture-wicking treatment.
Why does the home shirt reference the 2011-12 season?
The chevron layout is drawn from the shirt Lille wore in 2011-12, which was Eden Hazard’s final campaign at the club before his move to Chelsea. Hazard scored 20 goals in 38 league appearances that season and took the Ligue 1 Player of the Year award for a second year running, so it is a well-chosen piece of history for a kit that needed a story.
It is worth being precise about what the shirt is and is not. This is a design reference, not a retro reissue. The 2011-12 original had its own sponsor set and a different collar, and New Balance were not the manufacturer at the time. If you want the actual period shirt, that is a retro piece, and our Lille OSC collection is where the club’s older shirts live.
What does the Lille 26-27 away kit look like?
The away shirt is the more adventurous of the two. It uses a predominantly white base carrying a tonal geometric pattern, with blue and red accents. The collar is a blue fold-over design with a single-button fastening, and it carries a red brick graphic that references the architecture of the city. That brick motif repeats on the sleeve cuffs.
The headline detail is on the left chest: the club crest used between 1989 and 1997, rendered in red and blue. An embroidered blue New Balance logo sits opposite it. A red fleur-de-lis appears beneath the rear collar, and inside the neckline there is an anniversary graphic marking ten years of the LOSC and New Balance partnership, which began in 2016.
Fabric-wise the away shirt uses an engineered jacquard with built-in stretch, again with NB DRY and the same 90% recycled polyester and 10% elastane mix.
Home or away: which Lille 26-27 shirt is better?
| Feature | Home | Away |
|---|---|---|
| Base colour | Red | White |
| Accents | Navy and white | Blue and red |
| Graphic | Chevron bands, tonal fleur-de-lis | Tonal geometric, red brick motif |
| Collar | White crew neck, navy trim | Blue fold-over, single button |
| Crest | Current club crest | 1989-1997 crest |
| Reference point | 2011-12 season | 1990s identity |
| Fabric | 90% recycled polyester, 10% elastane | Engineered jacquard, same blend |
The away shirt is the one collectors will chase. A retired crest is a stronger hook than a chevron revival, and the brick collar graphic is genuinely unusual in a market where most away shirts settle for a gradient. The home shirt is the safer buy and the one you will see far more of in the stands.
Who sponsors the Lille 26-27 kits?
Boulanger remains the principal shirt sponsor across both kits, sitting centrally on the chest and appearing in red on the white away shirt. As of the 3 August launch images, the home shirt also carries Aushopping on the back and Toyota on the lower back section.
