What does the shirt actually look like?

The base is red, trimmed with white and black. Across the body sits a tonal all-over graphic built from a soft wavy pattern with repeating miniature rowing crests worked into it. From a few metres away it reads as one flat block of red; up close the pattern does the talking. The collar is a crew neck picked out in three colours, and Adidas has used the white Trefoil on the right chest instead of its standard modern mark.

Set against the rest of the range, this is the outlier. The 2026/27 home shirt is the familiar red-and-black hoops with a polo collar, released on 17 January 2026, and the away is white with a red-and-black band across the chest, released on 10 April 2026. Both carry Betano, Flamengo’s front-of-shirt sponsor for 2026/27, and the standard crest. The third shirt drops almost everything else.

Why is there no Flamengo badge on the third shirt?

Because Flamengo did not start as a football club. It was founded on 17 November 1895 as Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, a rowing club on Flamengo Beach in Rio, and it stayed one for sixteen years. Football only arrived on 24 December 1911, when ten players who had fallen out with Fluminense joined and pushed through a vote to create a land sports department. The CRF on the red-and-black shield still stands for Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.

Adidas has taken the historic rowing emblem, rendered it in white, and put it where the modern badge normally goes. Nothing has been added to the shirt in its place. That is the whole point of the design, and it is also the thing most likely to make a buyer hesitate.

Does a missing badge mean the shirt is fake?

No, and this is worth saying plainly because it will catch people out. On almost every other Flamengo shirt, a wrong or absent crest is a reliable counterfeit tell.
