Tottenham Squad Numbers 2026/27: Sávio Takes No. 17
Savio wears No. 17 at Tottenham for 2026/27, taking the shirt left by Cristian Romero. Deadline-day arrivals took the other new numbers: Tosin Adarabioyo 4, Omar Marmoush 22 and Mykhailo Mudryk 27. No. 1 is unassigned, with Antonin Kinsky keeping 31.
Which number did Sávio take at Tottenham?
Sávio wears No. 17 at Tottenham Hotspur. The Brazilian winger joined from Manchester City in the summer of 2026 and took the number vacated by Cristian Romero. He also changed the name on the back of the shirt: it now reads SÁVIO rather than the SAVINHO he used at City, which matters if you are ordering a printed shirt.
Tottenham published their 2026/27 squad list on 20 August 2026, but three deadline-day arrivals landed after that announcement, so the numbers below reflect the club’s men’s first-team squad page as it stood on 9 September 2026.

Which numbers went to the deadline-day signings?
Tottenham did most of their business early, then reshaped the squad in the final days of the window on 1 September 2026. Three of the numbers in the table above changed hands after the club’s original announcement.
- No. 4 — Tosin Adarabioyo. The centre-back arrived from Chelsea on deadline day in a deal reported at around £7m plus add-ons (To The Lane And Back, 1 September 2026). He inherited the number from Kevin Danso, who joined Sunderland on a season-long loan with an option to buy after asking to leave.
- No. 22 — Omar Marmoush. The Egypt forward came in from Manchester City on a season-long loan carrying an obligation to buy next summer, reported at roughly £60m with add-ons (ESPN).
- No. 27 — Mykhailo Mudryk. A loan with an option to buy, reuniting the Ukrainian winger with Roberto De Zerbi, who coached him at Shakhtar Donetsk.
The earlier summer intake had already taken some of the most visible shirts: Andy Robertson at No. 3, Xavi Simons at 7, Conor Gallagher at 8, Sandro Tonali at 16, Mateus Fernandes at 18 and Jan Paul van Hecke at 6.
Why is nobody wearing No. 1 at Spurs?
Spurs simply have not assigned No. 1 for 2026/27. Guglielmo Vicario left for Juventus on loan rather than permanently, and Antonin Kinsky stayed on No. 31 instead of moving up to the vacated shirt – the clearest sign that the club is holding the number rather than handing it on. No. 1 therefore sits empty in the squad list, as do 2, 12, 24, 25, 26, 29 and everything between 34 and 36.
Empty numbers are normal in the Premier League: clubs are not required to fill the low ones, and a gap in September is not a promise that a signing is coming.
Which Tottenham shirt should you print a number on?
The number you choose only looks right on the shirt it was designed for, so start with the version rather than the name.
| Version | Fit | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Home player version | Slim, shorter body | Match-day look, close fit |
| Away player version | Slim, shorter body | A change shirt that stands apart from the white home |
| Home long sleeve | Slim, full sleeve | Colder months and winter fixtures |
| Women’s home jersey | Tailored women’s cut | A shaped fit rather than a unisex one |
Name and number printing is a personalisation add-on at checkout, and personalised shirts sit outside our 14-day returns window, so confirm the spelling before you order. For Sávio that means SÁVIO, not SAVINHO. Pair a shirt with the 2026/27 home shorts if you want the full set.
How reliable are these numbers?
Squad numbers are only fixed once a club registers its list, and they can still change when a player leaves in January or a loan is cut short. Everything above comes from Tottenham’s own squad page rather than a transfer round-up, and we re-check the list after each window. If a number moves, this page moves with it.
