Salford Lads and Girls Club has been a fixture of Manchester’s cultural life since 1903. It is best known outside the city for its role in music history — The Smiths photographed there for the sleeve of The Queen Is Dead, and the doorway has been a pilgrimage stop ever since. adidas filmed the launch at the club and pulled the palette directly from the building: maroon for the red brick that defines Manchester’s Victorian architecture, green for the club’s large wooden doors.
